Cry, Little Artillery Man

A speech delivered by Rickey Pittman at the Louisiana State Convention of the Daughters of the Confederacy, in Vidalia, Louisiana, April 2005.

This audio CD tells the true, moving and tragic story of Jane Perkins, an Irish lady who served with the Danville, Virginia Artillery.  When she was captured, she was taken to Point Lookout Prison where she gave birth to a son that her fellow prisoners nicknamed, Little Artillery Man.  The baby was taken away by the Federal authorities and was never heard of or seen again. This CD will help tell another story the Yankees dare not tell, showing that Lincoln’s war was not only against the men of the South, but against our women and children too.  This is a fine presentation for groups, camp meetings, school and church classes, or for anyone wanting to know the true stories of the War Between the States.
